Most students begin looking for student accommodation from October to make sure they get the best accommodation. Finding housemates early make be tough, if you need to find others to live with search for students using Roome. Roome also offers the best student accommodation year-round!

The rent will depend on the quality and type of accommodation you are looking for, on average you can be expected to pay £152 per week for rent. This will likely be slightly more for private halls but these will include bills.

Roome looks to offer the largest range of student accommodation in Cardiff, including private halls, houses, flats and apartments, you should be able to find whatever you need for a great stay whilst at university.

Roome is a great platform to search for housemates with similar interests and hobbies to yourself, start messaging others and decide who you’d like to live with. If you already have a group, you can search for accommodation together on Roome or other students to add to your group.

The standard contract length is between 46-52 weeks. However accommodation providers may be able to offer longer/shorter contracts in some instances.

Depending on the type of accommodation that you choose, the most you can be charged is 5 weeks’ rent as a deposit. Private halls in most cases require much less and, in some instances, may require no deposit at all.

All accommodation providers are legally required to protect your deposit using a tenancy deposit scheme. If you take good care of your accommodation, you should have no problem getting your full deposit back.
